Charm – So Unknown
Charm are a Birmingham-based Indie/Alternative Rock band whose story began in 2023, after an unexpected meeting in one of the city’s rehearsal spaces. An immediate musical connection between Matthew Reece-Jones (guitar) and Kyle Taundry (vocals) sparked the project, soon joined by close friends Thomas Hedges (bass) and Callum Sahan (drums), completing the quartet.
In March 2025, the band released their EP So Unknown. The four-track record draws from a range of influences: “So Unknown” and “Peace Song” carry the feel of a classic rock ballad, while the other two tracks, “An Eye for an Eye” and “Shadow of Time”, reveal an unmistakable Oasis flavour—particularly reminiscent of Liam Gallagher’s solo work, right down to the vocal tone.
With a busy end of year and growing momentum and their latest single “Icy Fingers“, Charm is unquestionably a band to keep an eye on.
