INSIDEAWAVE – INSIDEAWAVE
INSIDEAWAVE is an Irish band formed in 2017. Their musical style ranges from Indie Rock to Indie Folk, with touches of dream pop. Their sound is full of rich vocal harmonies, slightly fuzzy guitars, powerful bass lines, and a sometimes minimalist drum machine. You can hear influences from Radiohead, Alt-J, Grizzly Bear, and even Foals.
The band’s self-titled debut EP brings together three songs written. Those were recorded, and mixed between 2019 and 2020. It explores themes of relationships, travel, and personal reflection. This little gem of an EP will lift you up, make you drift away, and stir that hint of nostalgia characteristic of the band’s indie sound.
Since then, the group has released three more singles, including the excellent “This Kind of Pattern”, which leans even further into the dream-pop elements already present since their beginnings. A must-listen on all streaming platforms and on YouTube.
